One thing that trips people up. Honeywell prints 20x20x4 on the filter, so that is how we sell it. Some stores call the same filter a 20x20x5 because the actual depth is more than 4 inches.

Why the fit matters
A filter only works properly when it sits correctly in the cabinet. The FC100A1011 is designed for the Honeywell 20x20 media air cleaner.
Its support structure helps keep the pleats properly positioned while air moves through the filter.
A filter that is the wrong size can leave gaps around the edges and allow some air to bypass the filter media.

Check the actual dimensions before ordering, since nominal filter sizes can vary slightly between manufacturers.
Want higher filtration?
The Honeywell 20x20 F100 and F200 cabinets can also use the FC200E1011 MERV 13 replacement filter.
Choose it if you want a higher level of filtration. The FC100A1011 MERV 11 remains the standard replacement filter for the Honeywell F100 20x20 media air cleaner.
When to change it
Honeywell builds this filter to last up to a year. Actual life depends on your home and how often your HVAC system runs.
There is a space on the filter to write the installation date. It is an easy way to remember when you changed it.
Pets, renovations and a dusty home can fill the filter sooner, so check it more often under those conditions.
Which way it goes in
There is a large AIR FLOW arrow on the side of the filter. Point the arrow in the direction the air travels toward your furnace or blower.
