Are there inherent conditions in accepting an order?

The reception of a confirmation email for an order does not automatically mean that FILTRATION MONTREAL accepts the said order and is in no way a confirmation that FILTRATION MONTREAL warrants the sale of the items.

FILTRATION MONTREAL retains the right, without prior notice, to refuse to deal with a customer and/or impose a limit on the requested quantity of an ordered item. At all times, it might be necessary for FILTRATION MONTREAL to complete a background check on your identity and credit prior to accepting an order.

We are not responsible for lost, held, or damaged packages. We are not responsible for mis-delivery errors by the carrier or for incorrect shipping information. Shipping is a service purchased alongside your order from us. For any shipping issue, we will contact the carrier to resolve the matter. In some cases, the carrier may need to contact the customer directly to address the issue.

Legal guarantees

The Civic Code of Quebec and the Consumer Protection Law provide legal guarantees, namely related to hidden defects and the usage of sold goods. These legal guarantees also apply to this sale.

This guarantee can in no way hinder or suppress the legal guarantee provided by the manufacturer when there is one.

Out of stock items

An item that is back-ordered means that the product is currently unavailable. It is possible that the order is being processed with one of our suppliers, is out of stock, recalled, or discontinued. If so, you shall be advised.

FILTRATION MONTREAL displays all the items that can be ordered from either one of our suppliers. It must be noted though that these items may not be in stock in one of our stores or on the website. In cases where FILTRATION MONTREAL must wait for one of the out-of-stock items to become available, it is possible that your order will be held back prior to shipment.

FILTRATION MONTREAL does not guarantee that the items displayed on its site are available. At any time prior to the site's reception of the item, you can cancel the order by calling our Customer Service Department. FILTRATION MONTREAL will not be held liable for any damage that you may experience due to the out-of-stock item.

Product descriptions

FILTRATION MONTREAL and its affiliates do everything in their power to ensure that the information on the site is as accurate as possible. However, FILTRATION MONTREAL does not guarantee that the product descriptions or any other content on the site are accurate, complete, reliable, up to date, or error-free. If a product proposed by FILTRATION MONTREAL does not comply with the description, your only recourse is to return it in its original state. Pictures shown may vary from the actual product.

Prices

The prices of our products are displayed in Canadian currency, and the applicable taxes are added to the amount. All orders, regardless of their origin, are payable in Canadian currency. FILTRATION MONTREAL retains the right to modify its prices at any time. Products are always billed based on the amounts in effect at the time the order is recorded.

Taxes

FILTRATION MONTREAL calculates taxes based on the address where the order will be shipped. An order sent to the U.S.A. is not taxed. For orders shipped in Canada, the taxes depend on the province. For example, for Quebec, the added taxes are QST (Quebec Sales Tax) and GST (Goods and Services Tax).

Payment

Payment for your purchased items must be completed through a banking card, MasterCard, Visa, or a PayPal account. The proposed fees must be covered in accordance with the payment procedure detailed during the registration process. The customer agrees to cover the total cost and additional fees of the purchased item, including taxes. FILTRATION MONTREAL can modify the price after advising the customer. The customer is solely responsible for the actual payment of the purchased item. FILTRATION MONTREAL is not responsible for payment problems related to the operation of the e-commerce service.

Risk of a lost item

All purchases completed on FILTRATION MONTREAL are done so in accordance with the shipping contract. This means that the risk of losing an item and property rights associated with the item are transferred to you at the moment when we remit the item to the carrier.

Shipping

Delivery is FREE in Canada when your purchase is made online. Some restrictions apply, as explained in Shipping Restrictions.

  • Allow one business day for processing your order if the order is placed after 11:00 AM Eastern Time (ET).
  • Most products are in stock and ready to ship. Items not in stock ship within 7-10 business days after processing your order.
  • The stock availability and shipment region can increase the standard delivery time.

Free shipping does not apply to (delivery times cannot be guaranteed for these areas):

  • Yukon
  • Northwest Territories
  • Nunavut
  • Newfoundland and Labrador

If an item is returned to us due to an incorrect address, we will notify the buyer for the correct address, and the buyer is responsible for additional shipping charges to ship the item a second time.

If a package is returned to us because the buyer has not claimed a package after the delivery attempt, the buyer is responsible for additional return and shipping charges to ship the item a second time.

Shipping outside of Canada

U.S. orders are not eligible for free shipping. You are responsible for all shipping costs, custom fees, and export fees.

Returns

You have up to thirty (30) days from its reception to return a product to FILTRATION MONTREAL for either a refund or an exchange. When you return an item, you must include the invoice and a note detailing the reason behind the return.

Returning an item for a reason other than a defect

You must cover the shipping fees and inherent risks for a returned item. For items that are not defective, we do not accept returns wherein the item has been removed from the package.

Returning a defective product

If FILTRATION MONTREAL has delivered the wrong item, FILTRATION MONTREAL will ship the correct one. FILTRATION MONTREAL will cover the fees associated with the delivery.

Reimbursement

Upon reception of the returned items, the amounts that were debited from your credit card on FILTRATION MONTREAL with respect to these items, except for shipping fees, will be credited as soon as possible under the condition that the items subject to the return are received by FILTRATION MONTREAL in the same condition as they were when shipped.
