Product Overview
MERV 14.
The finest filtration in this size.
The G1-1056, for furnaces and A/C systems that take a 15 3/8 x 25 1/2 x 5 1/4. Genuine Five Seasons, made in Canada.
Same size, three ratings
This slot takes three filters we sell. They all fit. The difference is how fine they filter.
This one is a MERV 14. It catches finer particles than a MERV 11: smoke, fine dust, and the smallest airborne allergens.
A MERV 14 is also denser, so your system works a little harder to pull air through it. On most residential furnaces that's fine. On an older or undersized system, it's worth a call before you order.
The MERV 11 versions: Camfil M1-1056 and Five Seasons M1-1056.
Is this your filter?
Fits furnaces and A/C systems that take a G1-1056. Pull the old filter out and read the edge.

Measure before you order. Filters this size are sold under a lot of different names, and a quarter inch matters. Take a tape to your old one and compare it to the numbers above.

What it catches
MERV is just a score for how much a filter holds back. Higher number, more caught. This one is a MERV 14, the highest we sell in this size.
- Everything a MERV 11 catches: dust, pollen, pet dander, mould spores
- Fine dust and smoke particles
- Bacteria and finer airborne allergens
- Cooking and wildfire smoke
Not sure what the numbers mean? Here's MERV explained in plain English.
When to change it
Every 6 months. Three in the box gets you through a year and a half.
Pets, a dusty house or a renovation, and you'll be at the shorter end. If your thermostat fan runs on ON instead of AUTO, air moves through it all day and it fills up sooner.
Which way it goes in
There's an airflow arrow printed on the frame. Point it toward your furnace, the way the air travels.
Backwards, it clogs faster and catches less. Not sure which way the air moves? Here's which way a furnace filter goes in.
